  2. Although the latest generation batteries suffer less from this aspect, when using the laptop only on batteries it is better to let it discharge as much as possible before recharging it;
  3. Try not to demand maximum performance when on batteries: gaming, 3D graphics, 4K video. All these operations require a lot of energy. This will make the battery discharge faster and, slowly over time, reduce the charging cycles useful for the life of the battery itself.

I confess that these three tips will not change the fate of your battery excessively. Sure prevention is better than cure, but don’t expect miracles. Furthermore, as I have already mentioned, modern batteries suffer less and less from these problems.

Warning : looking online some users assume it is the internal battery of the PC, the one that allows you to keep the clock updated so to speak. Rest assured, this error refers to the removable battery.

Here’s how to stop seeing HP Battery Alert

If you are tired of always displaying this annoying error when starting your PC you can remove it in a very simple way: you have to perform a BIOS Reset , nothing dangerous for your PC

  • Disconnect all peripherals (mouse, pen-drive, SD card, etc.)
  • Remove the battery from the PC
  • Unplug the power cord
  • Press and hold the laptop’s power button for at least 50 seconds
  • Plug in the power supply and turn on your PC

Note that this procedure doesn’t work on all HP notebooks, but it’s worth a try.
